LMS Spring Sports Season Schedule
LAKESHORE’S LADY LAKERS STRUGGLE IN SEASON OPENER
The Lady Lakers opened the season with a home game vs Oakwood IB. The Lakers dropped a hard fought game to the Nighthawks but will hit the practice field to be ready for next Monday’s game against WHMS.
Maddie Gordon stepped to the mound first, striking out 5 batters.
The girls were smart with their base running, collecting six steals with Maddie Gordon and Olivia Martin stealing multiple bases in the game. The team is young and excited heading into the season.
Please come out next Monday to support your Lakers as they take on cross town rival WHMS here at Lakeshore.

LAKESHORE DROPS A CLOSE ONE AGAINST CROSS TOWN RIVAL WHMS
Your Lady Lakers softball team closed the gap and nearly came away with the win. Leading 5 to 4 the Lakers stumbled in the final innings and dropped a disappointing 8 to 5 loss to the Braves from
Woodland Heights. Maddie Gordon was stellar on the mound with 14 strikeouts in 7 innings. Leading the hit brigade was Evelyn Adams, Madison Corbett, and Gordon all with 2 hits each.
L’Rae Brooks had 2 RBI’s for the Lakers.
The Lakers return to action with a home game on Wednesday, March 6th as they host Brawley IB.

LAKESHORE WINS BIG VS WIMS
Lakeshore Lady Lakers defeated West Iredell Mustangs last night, 19-8. A ground out by Stella Salazar put our lady lakers on the board in the top of the first.  The girls flipped the game on its head in the top of the third scoring 8 runs on 6 hits to take a 12-4 lead. A single by Madison Corbett drove in 2 runs.  The Lady Lakers scored 5 runs on 4 hits in the top of the fourth inning.Â
Maddie Gordon doubled scoring one run; Evelyn Adams doubled scoring 2 runs; and LaRae Brooks singled, scoring 1 run.  Lakers collected 15 hits in the game. Stella Salazar and Evelyn Adams each collected 3 hits. Stella Salazar had 4 RBI’s. Camryn Hogan, Liliegh Smith and Madison Corbett each collected multiple hits for the team.    Camryn Hogan, Liliegh Smith, Madison Corbett and Alex Williams each stole multiple bases.Â

LAKESHORE’S LADY LAKERS COME UP SHORT VS OWIB
Your Lady Lakers softball team played Oakwood IB in an away game yesterday. The Lakers fought hard but dropped a heartbreaker to the Knighthawks. The girls started strong with a double by Evelyn Adams, scoring one run. Lileigh Smith, Evelyn Adams, Stella Salazar, and Alex Williams all collected a hit for
the Lakers. Lileigh Smith then drove in the second run for the Lakers, but that would do it as the Knighthawks offensive power proved too much and the Laker defense struggled giving up multiple runs. The Lakers continue to show improvement and will be ready for TCMS in their away game on Monday.

LAKESHORE TAKES HOME WIN OVER TCMS
Lakeshore’s Lady Lakers dominated the field yesterday against TCMS by a score of 27 to 6. Stella Salazar started the game with a triple bringing in one run, Olivia Martin singled and brought in 2 runs, and Jocelyn Diaz grounded out bringing home 3 runs. Going back through the line up Salazar hit an inside the park home run. On the top of the second inning the girls brought in 13 runs off 5 hits.. Camryn Hogan, Alex Williams, and Gabi Gibson all brought in runs. Lileigh Smith then hit an inside the park home run, followed by Madison Corbett’s grand slam to bring in 4 runs.
The girls collected 40 stolen bases and committed ZERO errors for the game. The Lakers next opponent is Thursday at home vs WIMS.
