Bears from North Iredell Middle.

LAKERSHORE BOUNCES BACK WITH STRONG PERFORMANCE

Yesterday, your Lakers football team traveled north into Bear country to take on North Iredell Middle School.
A stellar performance in all phases of the game allowed the Lakers to bounce back strong  with a convincing victory.
The Lakers turned in a true team performance with touchdowns from 6 different players. Leading the charge was QB Ramsey Stuart who took command of the offense by scoring one TD by the ground and one via the air to Dempsey Jones. Dempsey Jones knifed through the defense continuously on the ground and via passes. Stuart also returned a punt for a TD. He was perfect through the air and also was a mainstay for the Laker defense.  Caeden Bradford electrified the field with a 35 yard TD run
as well as blazing past defenders on a kickoff return for another TD.  The return was set up by a safety resulting from a blocked punt by John Saldo-Manino and Zach Stebbing.  The defense lived in North’s backfield allowing negative yard rushing for the game.  Rounding out the scoring Ian Lhuillier and Cale Younts, both scoring TDs. Adding in on the scoring were conversions by Alexander Garica, Michael Jackson, Caeden Bradford,
and Ian Lhuillier.  Defensive standouts were Jacob Blumberg and Miles Bergestein, who also intercepted a pass.
The Lakers next opponent is Tuesday at Lakeshore vs the Mustangs of West Iredell Middle School.

LAKESHORE SECURES A FORFEIT AS TCMS CLOSES OUT IT’S FOOTBALL SEASON

LAKESHORE SECURES A WIN AGAINST A TOUGH OAKWOOD IB TEAM

Tuesday, your Lakeshore Middle School football team traveled into Knighthawk territory to take on the team from OWIB.
The Lakers won the game by a score of 14 to 0.
This moved the Laker’s record to 3-1 for the season.

Lakeshore secured a 14-0 victory over a previously unbeaten Oakwood IB. My victory was due much in large part to a dominating performance by Caedan Bradford. Bradford dazzled on touchdown runs of 55 and 11 yards.. Bradford displayed speed and athleticism all day by gashing the Oakwood defense on the ground.. Bradford wasn’t satisfied as he also lead a stellar Lakeshore defensive performance. Bradford added an interception on defense as well as a few menacing tackles.  Michael Jackson rounded out the scoring on a spectacular catch on a two point conversion attempt that was perfectly placed by quarterback Ramsey Stuart.  Stuart orchestrated the offense by displaying great leadership.

The Lakeshore defense was never threatened on the afternoon as they shut down the Oakwood offense with multiple turnovers and tackles for loss. Aaron Mink disrupted Oakwood all day by living in their offensive backfield. John Saldo Manino continued a rash of dominating performances by registering tackles for loss and recovering a fumble. Jacob Blumeberg delivered multiple devestating tackles and ended the game with sack of the quarterback that caused a fumble that was recovered by Max Cooke. Other top performers on defense included Cale Younce and Michael Jackson.

Lakeshore will host Troutman Middle on October 3rd.

Lakeshore roars to victory over the Mustangs of West Iredell Middle. Yesterday in a game that was suspended in September the Lakeshore Football team won a hard fought battle over West Iredell Middle 22 to 18. This moves the Lakers record to 4-2 for the season as they head into their final regular season game Tuesday against cross town rival the Braves of Woodland Heights.

The Lakers going into the game with an 8-0 lead connected on their extra point attempts whereas the Mustangs did not.
The Lakers were led offensively by Caeden Bradford’s early 65 yard touchdown run to put the Lakers up 16 to 6. Bradford later came back, recovering a fumble punched out by Ramsey Stuart and rumbled for his second touchdown of the day.
Defensive back Jacob Blumberg who had been a nuisance to the Mustangs all day sealed the win with 45 seconds left intercepting a Mustangs pass.
The offensive line kept the Mustangs out of the backfield with some outstanding play by Chase Ellershaw, Max Cooke, Wyatt Torrence, Sam Nelms, and John Saldo-Manino, while
defensively Cale Yountz, Michael Jackson, John Saldo-Manino, and Zach Stebbing all played tough defense making numerous tackles on the mustang running backs.
