ISS Basketball Teams to Watch

As the winter season heats up, all eyes are on basketball as teams are just getting started with non-conference games early this season.

Here are some teams to watch as the season progresses and we get closer to conference play.

Boys Basketball

Lake Norman

The Wildcats sit at 7-0 overall and a 0-0 conference record.

Last season the Wildcats finished with an overall record of 28-3 and a conference record of 11-1.

They made it to the final four round of the playoffs falling at home to North Meck.

North Iredell

The Raiders sit at 2-4 overall and a 0-0 conference record.

Last season the Raiders finished with an overall record of 10-15 and a conference record of 6-8.

They did not make the playoffs last season.

South Iredell

The Vikings sit at 2-4 overall and a 0-0 conference record.

Last season the Vikings finished with an overall record of 2-23 and a conference record of 0-12.

They did not make the playoffs last season.

Statesville

The Greyhounds sit at 2-3 overall and a 0-0 conference record.

Last season the Greyhounds finished with an overall record of 13-13 and a conference record of 10-6.

They made it to the first round of the playoffs falling on the road to Crest.

West Iredell

The Warriors sit at 6-1 overall and a 0-0 conference record.

Last season the Warriors finished with an overall record of 2-22 and a conference record of 0-15.

They did not make the playoffs last season.

Girls Basketball

Lake Norman

The Wildcats sit at 6-0 overall and a 0-0 conference record.

Last season the Wildcats finished with an overall record of 26-3 and a conference record of 13-0.

They made it to the fourth round of the playoffs falling at home to Charlotte Catholic.

North Iredell

The Raiders sit at 4-2 overall and a 0-0 conference record.

Last season the Raiders finished with an overall record of 20-9 and a conference record of 11-6.

They made it to the second round of the playoffs falling on the road to Ashe County.

South Iredell

The Vikings sit at 1-4 overall and a 0-0 conference record.

Last season the Vikings finished with an overall record of 9-18 and a conference record of 5-9.

They made it to the first round of the playoffs falling on the road to Watauga.

Statesville

The Greyhounds sit at 3-2 overall and a 0-0 conference record.

Last season the Greyhounds finished with an overall record of 3-22 and a conference record of 2-13.

They did not make the playoffs last season.

West Iredell

The Warriors sit at 1-5 overall and a 0-0 conference record.

Last season the Warriors finished with an overall record of 1-23 and a conference record of 0-14.

They did not make the playoffs last season.
