Lakeshore Middle School: Championship News

Lakeshore Middle School Football won it’s 3rd straight Super Tuesday Middle School Football Championship. That’s a school record for football championships in a row.

After starting the season 1-2 , Lakeshore had to win the last 4 games of the season and then had to win the draw from a 3-way tie for second place in order to play for the championship game.

Lakeshore then beat unbeaten West Middle 32-30 to win their third straight middle school Super Tuesday championship.

North Iredell High School: Coach Spotlight

Dave Markland was named North Carolina Volleyball Coaches Association Coach of the year.

Queen City Senior Bowl

Two ISS athletes were selected to play in the  in the Queen City Senior Bowl featuring the top high school senior football players in the Carolinas.  Both players are from Lake Norman High School.

Lakeshore Middle School Athletic Director Spotlight

Lakeshore is thankful for their Athletic Director Marc Weston, who took care of the fields and facilities all year long.

Women's Tennis

In the 2022 4A Women’s Tennis Dual Team Championships, Lake Norman advanced to the 2nd round after a win over Hough. 
South Iredell also qualified for the championship before losing to Marvin Ridge.

Volleyball

North Iredell’s Volleyball team finished the year a spotless 33-0 and dominated the Western Foothills 3A with an undefeated 15-0 mark. The Raiders won the program’s third 3A State Championship and sixth regional title. 

A 2022 3A Volleyball NC Farm Bureau Sportsmanship Award was presented to Emily Campbell from North Iredell.

In 4A action, South Iredell battled through the playoffs advancing to the 4th Round.  They shut out Myers Park and Weddington in the first and second rounds and defeated Reagan in the third round
